We would once again like to thank IGA Milton for their continued support of the Preston James Fund. Thank you to everyone who bought a block!

Movie World and Shrek 4-D™ Special Event - 17 September 2005
Thanks to Warner Brother’s Movie World on the Gold Coast, 100 guests of the Preston James Research enjoyed Shrek® and Donkey at it again in a brand new adventure! Picking up where DreamWorks’ Oscar® -winning movie “Shrek” left off, the Shrek 4-D™ Adventure put us inside the action with stunning 3- D, plus an extra dimension of special effects. Through the miracle of OgreVision, we felt the action – right from our own seats!

With all the Shrek® characters to meet us at the door, we walked the “green carpet” to the Roxy Theatre to enjoy this amazing experience and raised $3,200 for life saving respiratory research for children.

Queensland Police Fundraiser - 7 July 2005
On Thursday 7 July 2004  Queensland Police Officers and their friends and families attended a fundraiser bash at the historical XXXX Alehouse in Milton to raise money for the Preston James Research Fund. The Band of Blue rocked the Alehouse and there were fantastic raffles including a strand of pearls valued at $400.00, family passes to Movie World and Sea World.

The event raised $2,100 for life saving respiratory research for children.

Breathe and the Powerhouse Art Exhibit – 28 November 2004
Artist Leene Aavik held a exhibition of her extraordinary talent at the Brisbane Powerhouse (26 November - 10 December). Proceeds from sales and an Auction on Sunday 28 November, were donated to the Preston James Research Fund. 

The Breathe exhibition raised $8000.

Buy a Block Promotion with IGA Milton - 23 October 2004
Children from Premier Dance Academy, Baroona Road, attended the launch of IGA Milton's for week fundraising effort for the Preston James Research Fund.

The 'Buy a Block' promotion successfully raised $7200.

Pamper Yourself for Preston – 21 August 2004
This event combined the talents of MaryKay consultants, Go the Distance Personal Training and Lori Hatlak Massage to provide special pampering and an afternoon of fun. By invite only and hosted by Chuck and Del Grunder of Freeport Illinois, the afternoon was filled with games and raffles.

The successful afternoon raised $3,000 USD.

Minter Ellison Lawyers Morning Tea- 18 August 2004
Minter Ellison Lawyers in Brisbane held a fundraising morning tea on 18 August. Dr Schibler from the Mater Children’s Hospital was the guest speaker.

This event raised $600.

Shrek 2 - 19 June 2004
On 19 June 2004, 400 of Preston’s friends and family gathered at the Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinema, Mt Gravatt for a private screening of Shrek 2 in Preston’s honour. This movie has particular significance to this charity, as Shrek was Preston’s favourite movie.  While most two and a half year olds prefer songs like Twinkle Little Star or Row Your Boat, Preston’s most requested song was All Star by Smash Mouth – but he just called the song Shrek.

This event raised $6,000.
