There are a million and one projects you can do to raise money for a worthy cause!
If you help the Preston James Fund by fundraising for your own project, we can set you up with your own fundraising page! People can read about what you are doing and donate to the cause. You get your own fundraising profile page link, and you can share it around to friends and family, and keep track of how much you have raised for kids who need it most.
To get you thinking about what you can do in the New Year, here are a few ideas on fundraising your own project:
- Why not organise a social work function like Friday afternoon drinks, a bowls day or a morning tea where you ask for donations? Every dollar counts!
- If you are a mum or dad then our cause would be close to your heart. Maybe you have young kids in a playgroup and can organise a picnic with proceeds going to your favourite charity (us of course!). Or your kids may have a school that loves to fundraise, so you could nominate the Preston James Fund.
- If you love to party, why not host one and ask for donations? People are always willing to dig deep for a good cause.
- If you are at school, suggest to your teachers they could raise money for the Fund through a free dress day.
